OPI Haul and DUPES!

So if you didn't know...Ulta is having their amazing Buy 2 Get 1 Free nail polish special.
I loveeee this deal because I combine it with my favorite coupon ($3.50 off) and its succch a good deal! What was even better this time around was that there's a $5 off $10 or more coupon! Look for it on Slickdeals.net :)
I bought 3 OPI polishes for $14! Usually OPI polishes are $8 so this is awesome.

What OPI polishes to buy are always a big deal. I don't like to get reds because you don't need that many...just 1 suffices.
Also when you start getting as many nail polishes as I have..you start wanting more unique and special shades.

So what 3 polishes did I buy?

On the left: Jade is the New Black. Middle: You Don't Know Jacques! Right:  Panda-monium Pink

I don't know why but when I polishes...I'm late to the trend.
I know both Jade & Jacques were SUPER popular last year and only now am I picking them up. They aren'y even Spring/Summer colors! Oh well. Panda-monium Pink is a nice pale pink color. I have a lot of pinks...but not pale/pastel ones. Not this light either.

So what I noticed about Jade&Jacques was that they weren't unique to my nail polish collection. I actually had VERY comparable dupes! Let's take a look:

Left: Jade is the New Black. Right: Sinful Colors Envy.

From the bottle, the Sinful Colors shade is darker and more green. Jade doesn't look like the standard jade shade to me either. Seems more...Hunter green?

Left: Missha in BR03. Right: You Don't Know Jacques!

These two seem like slightly lighter variations of each other from the bottle.

Once you swatch them...different story.
I like swatching on white paper because skin color can change the way shades look.

The OPI shades are on the bottom. They are thicker & more pigmented. Both the Missha and the Sinful Colors formulas seem more watered down.
Color wise....hard to tell isn't it? OPI Jade is the New Black seems darker with 1 swatch.
The Missha & OPI You Don't Know Jacques is pretty much identical in my opinion.

So if you are looking for dupes for these two polishes here they are!
Sinful Colors Envy was found at Rite Aid for $1.99.
Missha was bought in South Korea for roughly 3,000 won or $3.

Cheers!

Zoya Nail Polish (Ivanka, Yasmeen, Crystal)

Early this year Zoya had a special offer in which you could get 3 nail polishes and only pay shipping ($6.95). Zoya nail polishes usually retail around $7 per bottle so this was a realllly great deal!
Apparently the whole beauty world knew about this deal because it took Zoya about 2.5 weeks to process/ship my order. I was realllly mad about this delay because shouldn't a professional site be prepared for such things?

Anyway, my order came in and I thought I would share it with you!

Meet Ivanka (right), Yasmeen (middle), and Crystal (left).
They were the lucky ladies I chose to take home with me!

Ivanka

If I could imagine what Ariel's (Little Mermaid) tail would look like in nail polish form...it'll look like this.
Its a green polish with shimmer that sometimes looks yellow/gold. In the bottle you can almost detect hints of blue/purple but I don't see it on my nails.

I'm currently rockin' Ivanka on my nails now. Its fun and colorful, but I am having problems with the formula. Its only been like...6 hours and already I see tip wear. Dun dun dun!

Next is Yasmeen. A lot of nail polish bloggers have been raving about this polish. Its a gorgeous dark purple with gold/yellow shimmers.

Photobucket

Last up is Crystal.
Crystal is a baby blue-ish color with gold shimmer (notice a pattern? lol).
Notice that my bottle came chipped! How does that even happen?

Here are swatches of all 3 nail polishes on one of those nail spoon things.
This is only with 2 coats and they will come out darker on your nails.

Did you order anything during the Zoya promotion?

Cheers!
