Organize Jewelry

My first giveaway is still going on!
You have until April 1st to enter! Click HERE to enter!

So today I'm going to do something a new and talk to you about organization!
Let me be real with you for a second: I am TOTALLY a messy person.
I'm not a slob per say...but I definitely have messy tendencies.
So its ABSOLUTELY important for me to do the most I can when I'm actually feeling clean & organized.

Case in point: my jewelry

When I was in junior high/high school I was accessory OBSESSED!
I was constantly going to Korea (I still am) or Forever21 with my girlfriends and I literally had like 0 standards. I would buy EVERYTHING in sight that I thought was decent.
My mom would always tell me to open an accessory store and sell off all my stuff cause I had soo much!
It was important for me to get some kind of system going to organize my jewelry or chaos would ensue.

Earrings are my biggest priority.
I bought the earring stand (like you would see at a jewelry store) in Korea about 5-6 years ago.
It was like $12 and it was seriously a life changer. I don't even remember how I used to store my earrings..but I bet it wasn't nicely organized like it is now.
Urban outfitters and Forever21 has FINALLY picked up on the idea that this is REALLY useful and sells some pretty cute ones.
Seriously ladies...purchase one! You won't regret it!

My studs are another story. I used to just throw them all in this little box but then finding the matching ones got a little difficult. So I made this contraption out of styrofoam that you usually find in electronic boxes.
I cut it up nicely into this rectangle and put some cloth on it so it doesn't look ghetto. The star? Well I was like 15 when I made this and I thought it'd be cute. Lol.
The styrofoam is PERFECT for your studs. Maybe someday I'll make more and post a DIY or something. Its a really easy way of displaying all your studs and not lose them in a box.

My necklaces are all hanging on this rack thing. I got it as a gift but I've seen VERY similar ones at Marshalls&TJ Maxx. Its verrry convenient except that I have so many hanging on this thing that I often forget about the ones buried deep inside.
Its kind of obvious that I need another one because this one is overwhelmed. Lol.

Lastly, this is my most recently organizer thing that my friend bought for me from Forever. How did she know I was running out of room?! I've starting piling on some of my sterling silver bracelets on here because they've been changing colors from being next to fake jewelry on the other rack. As you can see this mini eiffel is quite empty because i think its more geared towards earrings more than anything else.

Anyway, I hope that this post inspired some of you out there looking to organize your jewelry!
You will feel crazy relieved once you do this! Trust me! You also won't feel as bad buying new stuff since you made all this extra space ;)

Cheers!

Awesome post :) question: what do you do about the backs of the studs of the earrings? Thanks!

ah! aww xNTA you smarty :) for the backs of the studs i put them in this cute little jewelry box and i fish out whatever matching ones i can. if the earring is like real silver/gold or i need to have its matching back, i don't put them in the earring holder but just leave them in a jewelry box. the earring holder is really just for those cheapie studs.
